Introducing Our New Feline Chic Cat Collection

We are excited to announce the launch of our latest collection, Feline Chic! At Le Chic Miami, we're all about spreading joy and we couldn't be more thrilled to introduce this collection that celebrates our love for our feline friends and supports a cause close to our hearts.

Our Feline Chic Cat Collection features hand-painted wooden earrings designed after the real-life cats we've rescued through our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) efforts. Each piece in the collection is a tribute to these fantastic felines and their unique personalities, with an array of colors and breeds.

A portion of the proceeds from the Feline Chic Collection will be donated to the San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition. This wonderful organization helps educate the community about TNR and has saved countless cats in need. By purchasing a pair of earrings from this collection, you're not only adding a touch of joy to your wardrobe but you're also supporting a cause that truly makes a difference in the lives of cats and their communities.

How can you get involved? With kitten season upon us, there's no better time to get involved in cat rescue efforts and spread awareness about TNR. Through this collection, we aim to start the conversation and inspire people to join the cause.

Don't have time to get involved with trapping? The biggest impact you can make is by writing emails to elected officials explaining why your city needs a TNR program. Here is an example of an email you can send. Feel free to copy it word for word or write your own.

"Subject: Implementing a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) Program for a Humane and Effective Approach to Feral Cat Management

Dear [Elected Official's Name],

I hope this email finds you well. My name is [Your Name], and I am a resident of [Your City]. I am writing to express my strong support for the implementation of a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program in our city to address the issue of community cat overpopulation in a humane and effective manner.

TNR is a proven strategy for managing community cat populations that involves humanely trapping cats, having them spayed or neutered, vaccinated against common feline diseases, and then returned to their original location. Here are some key benefits of implementing a TNR program in our city:

  1. Population control: By spaying and neutering community cats, we can effectively control their population growth, thus reducing the number of cats that end up in shelters or being euthanized.

  2. Public health and safety: Vaccinating community cats against diseases like rabies, feline leukemia, and feline immunodeficiency virus during the TNR process helps protect public health and reduce the spread of these diseases among the cat population.

  3. Improved animal welfare: TNR reduces the number of unwanted kittens born to feral cats and eliminates the stress and suffering associated with overpopulation, malnutrition, and disease. Moreover, it minimizes the likelihood of cats engaging in disruptive behaviors such as fighting and spraying.

  4. Cost-effective solution: Implementing a TNR program can save taxpayer dollars in the long run, as it reduces the burden on animal shelters and control agencies. TNR is less expensive than the continuous cycle of trapping, housing, and euthanizing cats.

  5. Community engagement: TNR programs can promote community involvement and education on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying/neutering, and the value of compassion towards animals.

In light of these benefits, I kindly request that you consider allocating resources and support to establish a TNR program in our city. By doing so, we can create a more humane and sustainable approach to feral cat management that aligns with the values of our community.

Thank you for your time and consideration.  I look forward to your response and hope that our city can move forward with a TNR program to make a positive impact on both our feral cat population and our community as a whole.

Sincerely,
